Well, well, well: Taxpayers pay the price for oil and gas wells leaking methane as multiple entities work to plug them

We invite you to read Cronkite News article that features our non-profit.   This is an article about orphaned oil and gas wells in Arizona. It discusses the environmental and financial impact of these wells, as well as the efforts to plug them. The wells are a source of methane emissions and can contaminate water supplies. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and the Navajo Nation have received federal funding to plug the wells. The ADEQ is working to identify and plug orphaned wells as part of a four-phase program.
